Q. Do I have to run netBake over the internet?
A. No. Using our remote hosting service is an option available to you to save the cost of purchasing your own server hardware. If you wish to retain all of your computing in-house all you need to run netBake is a Windows 2003 server capable of running Microsoft SQL server 2000 or newer.
Q: What is the minimum PC specification for a single user netBake?
A: Computa recommend that you have the following in order to run netBake in a single user environment:- Windows Vista Professional/Windows 7 Pro/Enterprise or above; 2GHz Processor: Min 2GB RAM (4GB recommended); At lease 2GB of free disk space
Q: Can netBake report how much an individual product costs to produce?
A: Yes. Our Recipe Costing module allows full product costing.
Q: Can I set different customer discount levels?
A: Yes. Discounts can be applied at customer level or for specific products for each customer.
Q: I am used to entering data from sheets only using the numeric keypad. Will netBake allow me to enter data this way?
A. Yes. netBake allows the data to be entered using our QuickEntry system wherever large volumes of data entry is required.
Q: When downloading and running the setup.exe file from your site, I receive an error stating it is “not a valid Win32″ application. What should I do?
A: This is caused by a key called “setup.exe” in the system registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths. There are two ways to resolve this issue. You can either delete the “setup.exe” key from the registry, or more simply, right-click on the “Download netBake here” link on the netBake homepage, and click “Save Target As…”. After you have saved the setup.exe file, rename it to installer.exe and then execute it.
