| 24-Apr-2006: Development Update | |||||||||||||||||
Well I’m back from my holidays and feeling refreshed and ready to go. On the project, we are still juggling three sprints. Sprints 5 (Invoice and Orders) and 6 (Recipes and Ingredients) are in the testing stream and sprint 7 (Production Scheduling) is in the development stream. As you can see from this graph, sprint 5 will over-run the budget. This was caused by an increase in the required functionality. This sprint has 3.25 days of testing left to complete. The graph for sprint 6 shows that I over estimated the work, as it has hit the testing stream early. There are only 2.75 days of testing work to be done on this sprint. This credit in the budgeted days will help us offset the losses on sprints 5 and 7. Meanwhile, the sprint 7 graph tells a sad tale. The requirements for this sprint were not well defined and understood, consequently clarification had to be sought from a third party. The extra work resultant from this clarification can be seen in the graph. We are going to face an uphill battle to bring this sprint in on time. Currently, we expect the project to be finished on 14/06/2006. As always, you can comment here or on the Flickr site. Tag: Bakery Software |
